Brewery ARS, a “small family of artisan brewers,” is setting up shop at 1927-29 W. Passyunk Ave., in a former auto repair shop location.
The two men behind the project, Sean and Andrew Arsenault, began home brewing in their South Philadelphia home back in 2007. Since then, they’ve changed their career paths and raised over $30,000 through Kickstarter to make this brewery a reality.
According to their Kickstarter, the money raised will be enough for four 10-barrel fermentation tanks, which will lead to a number of unique brews. They plan to never filter, centrifuge or pasteurize their beers, and will only use whole flower hops.
